June’s meeting – Slow Networking

Our popular ‘Slow Networking’ style meeting is returning this June – with a special guest speaker! Whether you’re a born networker or, like most of us, a little bit unsure, then this meeting is for you.

Business cards at the ready, at our June Slow Networking event, members will get the chance to meet new people and branch out their connections. How many times have you attended a networking meeting only to migrate to the same people you already know? Whilst there’s value in that, you should be striving to make new connections, and this meeting provides the opportunity to do just that!

 We will be mixing everyone up into small groups of 3, and promise that by the end of the meeting, you will have made at least 10 new or refreshed connections, encouraging members, both new and returning, to get to know each other.

But that’s not all… at this meeting, we are also delighted to welcome Kevin Boorman, Independent Chair of the Hastings Neighbourhood Board, who will be joining us to talk about the Pride in Place programme. Hastings has been selected by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) to receive up to £20m of funding to support the regeneration of Pride in Place in the town.

The funding will support the delivery of investment and improvement in community services, such as regeneration, education, health, and employment. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from Kevin about where investment is being directed and what it could mean for you and your organisation.

In our signature informal style, this event will be a relaxed and fun spin on traditional networking, enabling you to forge new connections through fresh introductions and catch up with members you might not have seen in a while, as well as come away with a greater understanding of what’s happening in our town.

For this event, members are able to bring a guest along FREE of charge! Please note: Your guest must not already be a Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce member and must not be a colleague or employee from your own business. The free guest place is intended for someone from an organisation that has no current affiliation with the Chamber.
