August’s meeting: Biz Quiz Summer Social with St Michael’s Hospice

This August, we’re swapping our usual breakfast meeting for an evening of fun, friendly competition, and fish & chips – all in support of a brilliant local charity!

The Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce is joining forces with Bexhill Chamber of Commerce and Tourism for a joint summer social, hosted by our very own member, St Michael’s Hospice. Together we’ll be taking on the Biz Quiz, a lively team quiz night at the Hospice’s headquarters in St Leonards-on-Sea, with fish and chips included in the ticket price.

St Michael’s Hospice is a charity close to the heart of our community. They work tirelessly to support the people of Hastings and Rother to live well with dying, death and loss, providing specialist palliative care, bereavement support, and community outreach services across the area. Their work is funded almost entirely through the generosity of local people and businesses, and events like the Biz Quiz make a real difference to what they’re able to do. In order to continue to support the fantastic work they do, all profits from this event will be donated to the Hospice.

Gather your colleagues and come as a team or come along on your own, and we’ll make sure you’re matched up with others on the night. Either way, get ready to pit your wits against fellow members from across the area. This meeting will provide a brilliant opportunity to connect with businesses from across the bay in a relaxed, social setting!

We’d also recommend bringing some cash or card on the night, as there will be soft drinks available to purchase, as well as raffle tickets, with all proceeds going directly to the Hospice.

Doors open at 6 PM, with the quiz getting underway at 6:50 PM. Food will be served at 8:00 PM, with the quiz resuming at 8:30 PM. Winners will be announced at 9 PM.

Once registered for this event, attendees will receive a link in the confirmation email to select their meal choices. We kindly ask that these be completed as soon as possible after registering to ensure the venue can prepare accordingly and to avoid any disappointment on the day.

Getting there: There is limited onsite car parking at the Hospice for visitors, with free on-street parking in the surrounding roads. The Hospice is an approximate 15-minute walk from St Leonards Warrior Square Train Station. Several bus routes are nearby to the Hospice as well.
