Hastings Chamber Announced as Official Partner of the 1066 Business Awards 2027
Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that we will be a Lead Partner of the 1066 Business Awards 2027, joining forces with Bexhill Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and event organisers Let’s Do Business Group to celebrate and champion the very best of business across Hastings and Rother.
A New Chapter for the 1066 Business Awards
Reintroduced in 2023, the 1066 Business Awards recognise the achievements and successes of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the region. The awards were created to bring the local business community together in a way that is both meaningful and accessible to the diverse range of businesses in our area.
Over the years, the awards have taken the form of a lunchtime sit-down event. However, following feedback from local businesses and in response to rising costs, Let’s Do Business Group has been exploring a new format for 2027 to ensure the awards remain accessible to the very businesses it was designed to celebrate.
The result is a refreshed approach: a relaxed and informal awards gathering where businesses can connect, collaborate, and celebrate their achievements together, without the cost or formality of previous years. The event will take place on Friday, 26th February 2027, from 9 AM to 12 PM, at the Hastings Centre.
Celebrating Business Across 8 Categories
The 1066 Business Awards span 8 categories and 9 awards, celebrating everything from bold new start-ups to established businesses driving growth and innovation. Categories include Best New Business, Community Spirit (presented as two separate awards), Customer Excellence, Employer of the Year, Growth Champion, Lone Ranger, Sustainability and Innovation Champion, and the ultimate accolade, Business of the Year.
Best of all, entry is completely free, keeping the awards accessible to businesses across Hastings and Rother. Businesses can enter as many categories as they wish, and nominating another business is welcomed too. Award submissions open on 27th July 2026, with entries closing on 20th November. The shortlist will be announced on 8th January 2027, ahead of the awards presentation itself on 26th February.
Chambers Coming Together
As part of this refreshed format, Let’s Do Business Group has welcomed participation from local Chambers of Commerce as co-hosts of the event. Hastings Chamber is delighted to be taking on this role alongside Bexhill Chamber, reflecting our shared commitment to supporting and celebrating businesses across the 1066 Country.

What This Means for Our Members
Members of both Hastings Chamber and Bexhill Chamber will be entitled to a discounted ticket to the 1066 Business Awards 2027, with tickets going on sale closer to the event. Full details on pricing and booking will be shared in due course.
The awards will also feature as our February 2027 Chamber meeting, giving members another great reason to attend and network with fellow businesses, while celebrating this year’s shortlisted entrants and winners.
Sponsorship and Advertising Opportunities
There are further opportunities for local businesses to get involved. Award category sponsorships are available, giving businesses the chance to align their brand with a specific category of the awards, as well as the opportunity to advertise within the awards programme.
