May Members Meeting – with The White Rock
This May, our meeting will be held at the White Rock Theatre, where our members will get the chance to take a tour of the venue, as well as hear from Venue Director, Nadine Passley, about the space.
The White Rock Pavilion has been an iconic landmark for Hastings for almost a century. Built on the site of the old East Sussex Hospital, it was opened back in April 1927 by HRH Edward, Prince of Wales. What was first built for the Hastings Municipal Orchestra, attracting world-renowned musicians, it has since become home to some of the best live entertainment in East Sussex and serves as a cultural asset for Hastings and the wider community.
Back in February 2024, the operations for the White Rock were taken over by the Guildhall Trust – a registered charity whose vision is to become one of the country’s leading cultural organisations which places its communities at the centre of everything it does.
At this meeting, we will also be hearing from Switchplane about the upcoming Eastbourne DigiFest, taking place in Eastbourne later this year, which brings together businesses and professionals to explore the latest in digital innovation and technology.
This meeting will take place at the White Rock and will include our usual friendly style of informal networking over some pastries at the Café on the first floor, before we hear from Nadine, with plenty of opportunities to network afterwards.
Getting there: Hastings train station is a 15-minute walk. Alternatively, if you are travelling by car, the closest parking places are St Margaret’s Road Car Park (RingGo), Carlisle Parade Car Park (RingGo) or Priory Meadow Multi-Storey Car Park (pay on exit).
